Calathea Vittata

Calatheas are commonly known as prayer plants, because their leaves fold together at night, like praying hands. Calathea Vittata has bright green elliptical leaves with sleek white stripes that look as if they were hand-painted. An easier variety of the Calatheas, similarly keep the potting mix moist and keep them away from direct light. Calatheas love humidity, so group them together with other plants, or place them near a humidifier to replicate the conditions of a rainforest.
