Begonia Aconitifolia
$24.00
Begonias are loved as houseplants and prized for their foliage, some asymmetrical, some patterned, and others variegated. With over 1,000 species and many more varieties and hybrids, begonias come in different colours, shapes and sizes too. Striking the right balance with watering and humidity is the biggest challenge when growing begonias. Ideally the potting mix should be slightly damp at all times, but not overly wet as Begonias are very susceptible to root rot.
Another type of cane begonia, the Begonia Aconitifolia A.DC. has palmately-lobed foliage with faint, silvery white markings. It has a bushier feel and do best in bright, indirect light. The Begonia Aconitifolia would similarly appreciate extra humidity from a humidifier or pebble tray.
