Begonia Amphioxus

$48.00

Begonias are loved as houseplants and prized for their foliage, some asymmetrical, some patterned, and others variegated. With over 1,000 species and many more varieties and hybrids, begonias come in different colours, shapes and sizes too. Striking the right balance with watering and humidity is the biggest challenge when growing begonias. Ideally the potting mix should be slightly damp at all times, but not overly wet as Begonias are very susceptible to root rot.

Begonia Amphioxus is a compact but definitely eye-catching plant with its butterfly wing-like leaves, tattooed with dark red spots and a dark red border around the leaf margin. Grown for its foliage, it also blooms several times a year as a bonus. A great addition to the indoor spaces, Begonia Amphioxus will thrive when given bright, indirect light, and will do well under artificial light as well.
