Sweet Potato Vine (Ipomoea Batatas Blackie)

This Sweet Potato Vine has foliage that are nearly black, hence their name, Ipomoea Batatas Blackie. It is a vigorous and fast-growing cultivar, and a popular variety known for its maple-like leaf shape. This ornamental sweet potato vine is easy to care for, and will gracefully spill over the edges as it trails. Although the tuberous roots are edible, they are not typically eaten, because they are not sweet and typically quite small. Their leaves may also be differently colored in full shade conditions than they would be in full sun.
